You may be hesitant during the current health crisis to seek treatment for your mental health or addiction concerns; however, you may also be experiencing increased stress, anxiety, or substance use at this time.
We recognize that mental healthcare is essential healthcare, and we have responded quickly and effectively to COVID-19 to ensure you can seek treatment safely and confidently.
The path to recovery begins with an initial assessment — an evaluation of your mental health and social functioning. The assessment, a set of questions asked in a private setting by a health care provider, gathers information about self-perception, the ability to function with others, significant life events, and a medical history. The goal of the assessment is to help determine the best care plan for you to return to well-being.
How Can I Schedule an Assessment?
Scheduling an assessment can be done by calling, chatting with us, or by visiting us in person.
How Are Assessments Performed?
There are three types of assessments available:
In person We welcome in-person assessments and are taking all necessary precautions by following CDC guidelines for patient safety.
By telephone We can immediately perform your assessment over the phone to ensure reduced wait times and immediate access to the right program.
By secure video conference We are happy to schedule a private video appointment for anyone with computer or smartphone access.
Your recovery begins with an assessment with one of our licensed behavioral health professionals designed to connect you to the appropriate care plan. That assessment can be scheduled by calling, chatting or visiting the facility in person. Online therapy may be recommended by a medical professional based on the results of the initial assessment.
How Does Online Therapy Work?
Once you have enrolled in online therapy after your assessment, either the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) or the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), you will receive a schedule and information regarding initial communication with your assigned therapist and therapy group using Zoom.
Online therapy is conducted much the same as in-person group therapy, except you will be connected with your group via video conference. Your therapist will use evidence-based treatment to create dialogue and provide a safe environment to work through your behavioral health concerns and help you make significant changes.
Participation in tele-therapy is simple: a computer, laptop, or smartphone and a valid email address is all that is needed.
Our Online Therapy Guidelines
It is important to be in a private space during the session, away from distractions and other people, to ensure the privacy of the group. You may prefer to use headphones during your sessions.
